David Arango Sound Artist

Welcome to my online portfolio !  I’m a creative sound artist based in Montreal. I’m passionate about creating unique audio experiences. My appreciation for sound is broad: from field recording to sound synthesis; from linear production to interactive environments - I strive to create high quality, original sounds. My approach is very open. I keep myself prepared for any occasion to capture an interesting sound -
I record in studio, or outside in the field, and then customize sounds for use. My work has been recognized nationally
and internationally, and I have also been invited as a judge for national competitions. 
My drive for creating a unique audio experience has also introduced me to the world of programming. The skills
I have acquired, using Unity, have enabled me to collaborate with others on game production. 
My drive has also naturally led me into audiovisual creation.
I have animated a number of audiovisual pieces for live performances, some of which have been showcased and recognized internationally.  
In terms of education,  I have a bachelor’s degree in digital sound creation from Université de Montréal, and have studied classical piano and composition at
Cégep de St. Laurent.  
I also have a diploma in sound design from Musitechnic.
